Missing Teeth

We now have a boy with a "Jack-o-lantern" smile at our house. Roderic's tooth has been loose for a while and last Thursday night it was really loose. I offered to pull it for him and he said he'd rather wait and pull it out at school so he could go see the nurse and get a small treasure chest to put the tooth in. Sure enough, Friday he came home from school with a tooth in a treasure chest. He pulled his tooth out right before lunch.

Did you ever have a blog post about the torture you inflicted on him in pulling the second two teeth? (The boy has a very low pain threshold, at least when it's anticipatory.) It was SO MUCH FUN putting eyedrops in their eyes for the Pink Eye epidemic we had last month. But actually, he got to where it wasn't soooo bad (too bad Hyrum never could). And it looks like it'll be about the same with his dental development from here--so long as he can pull them out at school.

Dear Roderic,
You look like piece of corn who someone took a bite out; however, you will get a new tooth back! The next teeth will be used for the rest of your life; so, " brusha, brusha brusha Roderic".

What do you like to do in school? Are you getting ready to read or do you have reading every day. Your Grandpa Gibby didn't like to wait his turn when the story was so interesting; so, he would read on faster than the class. The teacher thought he couldn't read and sent a note home to your great Great Grandma Gibby. Your Grandpa was a great reader and the teacher thought so too when little boy Robert read to her all by himself.
HAVE A GREAT TIME, LOVE, SISTER GRANDMA GIBBY
